Our U17s made the trip to Killala for our final league game of the season, in what ended up in an entertaining 4-4 draw.![]()
Travelling with only 11 players available a few postitional changes were made.
The game started with both teams creating chances, the Boro unable to score then came a mad 15 mins spell in which we conceded 3 goals against the run of play.
At half time we encouraged the lads to stick to the game plan, though conceded a 4th soon after the restart.
The heads didn't go down and we got a goal back midway through the 2nd half Finley Franklin following up on his saved shot to head home, soon after Ruiri Kearny was put through making it 4-2
With less than 10 mins to go Tom Collins headed in a free kick making it 4-3.
Throughout the 2nd half we forced saves from the Killala keeper, with Adam Milloy & wingers Leonardo Walsh, Cillian Boyle coming close and we hit the post twice.
With the clock ticking the ball was again launched into the Killala box it was headed out to Finley Franklin who unleashed a shot into the top corner for the well deserved equaliser.
A great all round performance by both teams well done Killala FC
Fionn McGowan in goal with hardly a save to make the defence marshalled by Henry Harrison with Liam Doherty beside him full backs Adam King and Tom Collins.
Thomas McDonnell along side Finley Franklin & Ruiri Kearney driving forward from midfield and Adam Milloy, Leonardo Walsh & Cillian Boyle up front.
Well done lads, thanks for your commitment throughout the season & enjoy the summer

Trailing 1-0 at the break, Snugboro enjoyed plenty of possession and created a number of chances throughout the game. Unfortunately, it was just one of those evenings when the ball simply wouldnβt cross the line.![]()
Plenty of positives to take despite the result, and with the league still there for the taking, the focus now turns to the next challenge.![]()
